At Hinchley Medical we are committed to providing a safe and comfortable environment for all our patients.
All patients are entitled to have a chaperone present during any consultation, examination and procedure. it is recommended that a chaperone is present during all intimate examinations to safeguard both clinicians and patients.
All our chaperones have been fully trained in acting as a chaperone as well as and consent and confidentiality. Your information will always remain fully confidential.
You must inform us at the point of booking an appointment that you require a chaperone so that we can make the necessary arrangements to have one present. If you have not done so we will make every effort to obtain one during your appointment but we may ask you to rebook to accommodate this.
Please note that family and friends are not permitted to act as chaperones due to the regulations regarding training and knowledge.
